Canford Heath Vs WRYFC U14 4-2 (05/10/2014)

posted 5 Oct 2014, 11:46 by Simon McCabe

Another disappointing weekend for the under 14's as we went 4-2 down to Candford Heath.
With Brandon Latham stepping up and putting the gloves on as regular keeper Mikey wasn't able to make the game. Brandon gave 100% and did all he could which is all we can ask for as a team. Unfortunately, the had a few strong shots which he couldn't keep out. We did go 0-1 up with Luke Selby-Grace adding to his impressive league total after some great football from the away side. However Candford got back into the game straight after the half time re-start and took advantage of our dropping heads to quickly go from 0-1 down to 4-1 up in about 20 minutes. Charlie Dyke made the score line look a little better with a great individual goal after a fantastic dribble and a power drive past a stranded keeper.

Josh Young earns his second man of the match award this season after a strong defensive display and some exciting runs down the right wing which opened the opposition's defence on a couple of occasions.
